Portsmouth – the head office location of mystery shopping and performance improvement company Douglas Stafford – is hosting the world’s oldest international sporting trophy event this weekend.
The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series UK kicked off in Portsmouth yesterday (Thursday), with four days of sporting action and spectacle.
Six international teams are set to take to the water to compete for the very first event in the 35th America’s Cup, the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series, including the Land Rover BAR Great Britain team led by Sir Ben Ainslie. You can read more about the event here.
There was delight for Douglas Stafford valued clients, Renault UK this week, after 20 of its UK franchises were recognised as ‘Dealers of Excellence’ in the brand’s second annual customer care evaluation, conducted by J.D. Power.
The top performing dealerships were announced by Renault UK Managing Director, Ken Ramirez, who presented their Dealer of Excellence awards at a presentation ceremony in Millbrook, Bedfordshire.
New figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed that British car manufacturing delivered a strong performance in June with volumes up 5.4 per cent over the same month last year. Read more here.
In total, 143,759 cars were built in the month, with production for export up nine per cent outperforming that for the domestic market, which was down 7.1 per cent – a reversal of the trend seen in previous months. You can read more here.
Also this week, Douglas Stafford Graduate Management Trainee Scheme team member, Matt Baxter, successfully graduated from the University of Portsmouth.
Matt, who joined the company in June on the four-year programme, completed his Business Studies degree and is already playing a key role within the Account Management team.
Today (Friday) a Dress Down Day has been taking place at Douglas Stafford’s Lakeside North Harbour Head Office in Portsmouth, in support of The Rowans Hospice – the Douglas Stafford nominated Charity of the Year for 2015.
