Douglas Stafford turns red in support of Comic Relief

Team members at mystery shopping and performance improvement company, Douglas Stafford, turned a shade of red today (Friday) to show support for this year’s Comic Relief campaign.

The head office team, based at Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth, showed support Comic Relief by wearing red, while also supporting the company’s valued clients, Toyota UK’s £1 million fundraising appeal.

 

Some of the red clothes included football shirts, red shoes – and even a red wig!

 

Throughout the day, a cake sale has been held, along with a raffle, with all proceeds raised going to Comic Relief.

Video Editor and Quality Control team member, Emily Alice-Wilson, baked a selection of cakes, which included Vanilla and Chocolate Chip, Chocolate and Marshmallows, Red Velvet, Lemon and a collection of Cake Pop Red Noses. There has also been a Guess the Cake Weight competition, which was won by Quality Control Supervisor, Yvette Lock.

 

The Reception and Marketing Team at Lakeside North Harbour also showed their supported by raffling off a specially made Malteser cake, setting up a Red Nose Day photobooth area with fun props and also invited along the south’s most popular dog, Buddy, who posed for pictures.

 

Tonight’s live eight-hour Comic Relief programme will be broadcast on BBC One and Two, from 7pm.

The first Red Nose Day took place on February 5, 1988 and was watched by around 30 million people.

 

All money raised from Comic Relief goes towards supporting causes in the UK and around the world.

 

So far, the Douglas Stafford team has raised more than £400 for Toyota’s Comic Relief campaign.
