A team member at mystery shopping and performance improvement company, Douglas Stafford, is celebrating after being part of the winning team a triathlon event at the weekend.

Douglas Stafford HR Manager, Julie Worthington (pictured far right), competed in the Daventry Sprint Triathlon, which was contested by almost 300 runners, cyclists and swimmers from across the country.

The relay event was divided into three with each teammate either swimming 400 metres, cycling 25 kilometres or running five kilometres.

Julie, a keen cyclist, took to her bike and cycled around the Northamptonshire route, which took in local landmarks, and helped her team race to victory in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 23 seconds.

Her teammates completed the swimming and running challenges in impressive times to help the team claim victory.

Julie said: “The event was great. The cycle route was challenging, but fortunately wasn’t too hilly. The good weather also helped as well. Hopefully we will be back next year to defend our crown.”
