Holiday agent Hays Travel expands through Just Go

Hays Travel has continued its UK expansion, after agreeing an exclusive franchise deal with Just Go.

The Sunderland-based travel firm has signed a joint venture with Just Go to bring its 14 branches under a franchise agreement, with Hays taking a 40 per cent stake in the businesses.

The shops are currently with Thomson and First Choice and will now be branded under Hays Travel.

Managing Director and majority shareholder of Just Go, Don Bircham, said: “Having worked closely with John Hays in the past, I am delighted to be working with him again. He is a man of honesty and integrity and it was clear from our first meeting about the franchise that he shared the same retail philosophy and ambition for the continued growth of our business. It’s a great fit and I can’t wait to get started.”

Hays Travel is the UK’s largest independently owned travel agency with over 30 years experience and more than 100 retail shops.

Mystery shopping and performance improvement company, Douglas Stafford, works with Hays Travel providing a bespoke Video Mystery Shopping programme, which allows the team to self assess their performance using the Douglas Stafford online reporting tool DSInsight®.
